Children's Law

LAF represents families with children in the child welfare system (the Department of Children and Family Services or the Juvenile Court of Cook County), including teen parents, foster parents, relative caregivers, grandparents raising grandchildren, and birth-parents.  We handle DCFS investigations, service appeals, clinical placement reviews, and juvenile court abuse and neglect cases.  Our overall goal is to keep children in safe, stable placements and preserve family ties.
