Employment Problems; Unemployment Compensation

LAF represents people with claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII (discrimination on the basis of race, gender, or national origin), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and comparable provisions of state and local laws.

LAF represents at-will employees who are fired in retaliation for speaking out on issues of public concern or for exercising their rights under the Workers' Compensation Act.

LAF represents workers seeking Unemployment Benefits at all levels after the initial grant or denial of benefits.

LAF represents people who are having difficulty finding employment because of criminal records that can be expunged or sealed or because of criminal records that are being reported inaccurately to employers.
