- You have a dispute with your landlord regarding your rent;
- Your landlord is discriminating against you because of your race, gender, disability or source of income;
- Your landlord has illegally locked you out of your apartment;
- Your heat or hot water has been shut off, and your landlord is responsible for providing these utility services;
- The housing authority is terminating your Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher;
- You are having other problems with Section 8, such as the housing authority’s failure to adjust your rent when your income changes, failure to add a family member to your voucher or failure to process your moving papers.
- The Chicago Housing Authority has violated your relocation rights as a displaced resident, including your right to return to a newly constructed unit.
- Your landlord or housing authority has denied your application for an apartment or a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher.
- Your landlord is interfering with your efforts to organize a tenants organization;
- Your landlord has violated any provision of the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (RLTO).
