Message From Board President |
Message From Board President There are one million poor people in Cook County, and their legal problems are becoming more complex and difficult each year. When you make a financial contribution to the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago (LAF) you are making a positive difference in the lives of Cook County’s most vulnerable residents. You are helping women and children break free from lives of abuse; you are helping disabled people, veterans and senior citizens secure the government benefits they are legally entitled to receive; you are helping hard working low-income families keep their homes when they are faced with foreclosure because of predatory lending scams.
People with nowhere else to turn for help come -- by the hundreds, every day -- to LAF. Your contribution enables LAF to help 30,000 people a year, and by solving legal problems, LAF transforms the lives of human beings facing hard times. In short, LAF helps people preserve or secure the most basic elements of survival: housing, income, health care and personal safety.
On behalf of the LAF Board, I urge you to join me in giving generously to LAF’s Campaign for Justice. We hope you will support an organization that is a critical resource for Cook County’s most vulnerable seniors and low-income families. Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Roger G. Wilson
